Johnny Blackburn is a contemporary mystic and a well-respected authority on human development, embodiment. and the Spiritual Awakening process. He is the founder and director of Mystics, a school with an integral approach to whole human Awakening, healing and embodied full-spectrum development.

His work serves as a bridge between the perennial spiritual insights of wisdom traditions throughout the ages with the leading psychological research on adult human development and the upper reaches of human potential.

With an original background in Management Consulting and an Undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Southern California, a life-changing injury and failed surgery profoundly altered the course of his life. At the worst, confined to the floor for 22 hours a day,, Johnny spent 2 years reading, meditating and healing himself from all angles. After a full recovery, a new path revealed itself.

Having emerged from the transformative chrysalis, Johnny continued developing
through inner cultivation.He also returned to Graduate School for a Master’s in Psychology, in addition to innumerable multi-disciplinary trainings, embracing diverse fields of study to enrich his understanding, broaden his perspective and deepen his skills.

He also returned to Graduate School for a Master’s in Psychology, in addition to innumerable multi-disciplinary trainings, embracing diverse fields of study to enrich his understanding, broaden his perspective and deepen his skills.

In 2007, Johnny began coaching, speaking and facilitating events combing his formal training with deeper realizations and his passion for embodiment and experiential learning. Since then, he has more than 10,000+ client-coaching hours counseling individuals and couples, locally in Encinitas, as well as all over the world.

Johnny Blackburn serves as a catalyst for activating leaders, who them activate their own clients and communities, creating a ripple effect of positive change. He serves a range of entrepreneurs, executives and professionals, and loving couples. Over that time, he has also facilitated hundreds of hours of groups and led numerous events and retreats. Blackburn has also authored two books, Embodying Presence and Eternal Rising, with a third, Eternal Loving, on the way, as well as two relationship-based Card Decks: Getting Closer and Deep Relating.
